“I’ve lost 3 stone in 3 months, but I’m not on a diet!”

Words that any PT loves to hear from a client!! That’s what I heard from my client this afternoon on our weekly catch up.

They are not on a diet, they have changed their attitude to food. More self made lunches, rather than shop bought.
Portion size has changed, to a smaller amount.
They allow treats, but infrequently (as they are after all, a treat!)

Alcohol is minimal.

They are aware of increased fruit, vegetables, decreased large bulky late meals when are where they can.

I was so impressed that on a week away to Cornwall last week, that involved cream teas, cornish pasties, meals out with friends.
They upped the exercise, reduced portions when able.
Saved calories at times when they knew they’d be in calorie rich situations later in the day. They lost 2.5kg while on holiday!!!
